Master Pu Hao-Ming_Introduction of Works

Public art pieces in FAB GREEN VILLAGE outdoor area include and 4 other works such as , , , and .

Master sculptor Pu Hao-Ming utilizes the thickness, textures, and curves of Chinese calligraphy and transforms them into 3D sculptures.

Imagine that began in calligraphy as 4 independent points combined and extended to produce a mutual pull, attraction, and tumbling formed from chaos…the energy of this giant harmonious sculpture boasts a smooth surface of 10 meters…
The “point” of an ink brush was the inspiration for this piece because of the close relationship between water and life and an endlessly bubbling chi of prosperity that conveys a love of the heavens and earth.

echoes countless water droplets linked and fused as if they were a dancing dragon, ancient “ruyi” jade scepters (image), or a massive cosmic force.

At the opening and end of this piece, I took care to arrange their shape into a water scoop to symbolize the gratitude that should be given to even something as simple as a scoop of drinking water. Similar to the museum named “Water Droplet” located above Huwei Park, it aims to convey gratitude.

The Droplet Family was inspired by the admiration and gratitude for the giant maternal presence of Tamsui River. The abstract imagery of Tamsui River spans 10-meters within the pond which is a mere 30 cm deep but looks much deeper due to the dark shade of tiles. Tamsui River echoes a dragon floating on the surface, tumbling fiercely as if telling a story of its’ past, present, and future, symbolizing the meaning behind . On starry nights, the light from nearby the pond creates fleeting reflections upon the water.
Observing from the little droplet on the corner, shows a strand of 7 macaron-colored droplets. 5 of them hang high and low above the pond while 2 lay on the grass. Together, the 7 droplets swing as if dancing, hence the title . The main body and supporting actors in retain their stainless steel color while consists of vivid colors, representing the colorful nature of life.

If one follows the 5 droplets from to the flower patch by the entrance, one will find a pearly white that’s on a stroll and greeting guests. The smallest droplet anxiously rushes to greet guests while its’ brothers and sisters follow behind with their mother staying in the back, watching out for them.
“Droplets fall like stars to the world of mortals yet remain pure”. That was my description during its’ creation and exhibition. Little droplets fall to the world of mortals, so I anthropomorphized the droplets to simultaneously represent the “cosmos” and “mortality”.
If one continues to follow the footsteps of the fifth , one finds the pairs of with flushed cheeks and puckered mouths. Their pure and innocent kisses add additional warmth to the local sights.
As one follows the droplets to the stairs or elevator and onto the outdoor rooftop café, the views of Tamsui River and Mount Guanyin fill the eye. Take an enjoyable deep breath of fresh air and take in the larger than life golden heart waiting for your interaction and embrace!
